About the Founder

Reverend Kathleen Jones

 Reverend Kathleen Jones is the Founder and Executive Director of Potter’s House Mission. Reverend Jones is a gifted administrator, networks with the city and local agencies and is a community leader.  She has been active in the Philadelphia political and religious community for over twenty years. Reverend Jones is the co-founder of Acts Christian Transitional Services, one of the most successful homeless shelters in Philadelphia and is an active member of the Philadelphia Black Clergy, Philadelphia Council of Clergy, Philadelphia Police Clergy and The National Congress of Black Women.  In her role as Executive Director of Potter’s House Mission, Reverend Jones has worked tirelessly toward providing much needed social services and economic help to those who need it the most: homeless women with children and residents in the West, Southwest Philadelphia, and Nice-town region. “It’s a blessing to be a blessing to others.”
